Open House: August 23 & 30

Cynthia King Dance Studio will host an open house on Sunday, August 23 and Sunday, August 30 from 2-5pm at 21 Snyder Avenue in Brooklyn. Enjoy free dance demos and informational sessions on the hour, as you learn about the upcoming 2015-16 season.

About our Program

At Cynthia King Dance Studio, our goal is to provide our students with the tools necessary to reach their full potential, as technicians, artists, and members of an ensemble. We believe that dancers excel in a structured environment, in which hard work and dedication are valued, and success is earned. 

About our studio amenities

Our dance center at 21 Snyder Avenue features spacious, column-free studios with custom-built sprung floors, high ceilings, state-of-the-art performance lighting and sound systems, air conditioning, and a lobby with cushioned risers and viewing windows.

Cynthia King

A professional dancer since 1978, Cynthia King has been teaching and choreographing since 1986. Training extensively at the Boston Conservatory and The Ailey School, King honed her skills under the tutelage of legendary dancers including Emiko and Yasuko Tokunaga, Carmen DeLavallade, Diane McIntyre, and Rod Rodgers (of whose dance company she became a member). She has taught dance in Brooklyn at P.S. 315, Poly Prep, and I.S. 62 in addition to Cynthia King Dance Studio (CKDS).
