Kayla Affrunti

A 2018 graduate of Montclair State University with a BFA in Dance Performance, Kayla Affrunti has performed, taught, and grown as an artist in NYC. She attended the Ailey School Jr. Summer Intensive in 2010 and continued at Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts.

Now a teacher at pre-professional schools, she choreographs for national competitions and local companies. Her classes, inspired by Cuban ballet methods, emphasize precision, muscle engagement, and helping dancers find their unique voice through slow, intentional work. Blending technique with anatomy and history, she creates an enriching, personalized experience that encourages students to strive for excellence.

With her diverse training background, Kayla connects deeply with students and is excited to join the young talent at Cynthia King Dance Studio!
