Summer Dance Intensive July 2-13, 2012

We are accepting applicants for our 2012 Summer Dance Intensive, a two-week program for advanced dancers. The Intensive will provide opportunities for refining technique and performance, individualized instruction, new faculty and student choreography, and broadening understanding of various dance styles including Ballet, Modern, and Pre-Pointe/Pointe. Some work may premiere in an upcoming Fall Cynthia King production.

The Intensive will run from July 2-13, Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm. Each day will consist of a two-hour technique class, followed by a one-hour lunch break, and then a two-hour repertory/composition class. The two-week session is $565.

Dancers interested in the Summer Dance Intensive must be:

10-18 years old
Have 4+ years of dance experience
Evaluated by a CKDS faculty member

We are now accepting students ages 2.5-18 for our 2011-12 school year. Beginning August 17th potential new students are invited to visit and register Wednesdays-Saturdays, by appointment only. Please call to schedule a time to come by.

Our popular adult drop-in class, DanceFusion (Workout) resumes on Sunday, August 21st at 11AM. Join us for cardio-dance infused with Afro-Caribbean, Latin, hip hop and jazz styles.

Early registration for the 2011/12 school year runs now through June 15th. If you would like to register a new student for Ballet, Modern, Jazz, B-Boy/B-Girl, Hip Hop, Tap, and Styles please email or call us to schedule an evaluation. If you would like to register a returning student you may do so in-person, or by phone between the hours of 12PM and 4PM, M-F.
